Cullen Beach

Hill Crest is in a clifftop location in the seaside village of Cullen with a walking path beside the property to the harbour and beach below. The harbour is a 5 minute descent and the beach only a few minutes more. Trails are then available in either direction along the coastline.  Camrose is a 5 minute walk to the same walking path.
Golfing in Moray

Cullen Golf Club - 10 minutes walk or a 5 minute drive from either cottage. This challenging little links course offers equipment rental. You can relax in the Clubhouse after your game overlooking the beach and walk home later. There are many other clubs available all along the Moray coastline.
Speyside Scottish Whisky Trail

The renowned Speyside Scottish Whisky Trail and Castle Trails are both within easy reach by car from Cullen. The closest distillery is Glenglassaugh in Portsoy, around 6 miles away with daily tours available.

Lecht Ski Resort is 45 minutes from Cullen. Equipment hire is available for both downhill and cross-country skiing.

5 to 10 minutes walk from the cottage, Cullen's town centre include a small grocery store, bank, post office, chemist, GP's surgery, several cafes, pubs, the Fish & Chip shop, Chinese Takeaway, Indian Restaurant and local Ice Cream Shop.

A variety of antique and craft shops are also available as well as the local library. There are several larger towns within a 10 minute to 30 minute drive along the coast which have a wide variety of resources and activities available.

Locally there are many opportunities to walk or cycle on the many available trails along the coastline.


 

Things to do


The Banffshire Coast is home to a diversity of wildlife and beautiful rugged landscapes and has a relatively mild climate.

The area is rich with history and heritage based on fishing and agriculture which provides the foundation for many excellent visitor attractions and festivals celebrating the traditions of the area.

Cullen provides a terrific base for attractions such as the Malt Whisky Trail and the Castle Trail which are only a short drive away.
